Do Dreams Come True?
Updated: Sep 6

According to Google, to dream is to indulge in fantasies about something greatly desired, to contemplate the possibility of doing something, or to experience dreams/nightmares during sleep, and depending on the context of how you refer to dreams, they can be: spiritual, religious, lucid, healing, realistic, nightmares, etc. However, in this journey of my thoughts, I would like to briefly dive into both the literal and figurative aspects of dreams.
To be honest, this blog post had been sitting in my drafts for a few months before I decided to finally write about it after watching a movie called A Boy. A Girl. A Dream. Something inside of me just said it's time to tap back into my blog. Now, as far as dreams go, have I had actual dreams come to reality? Yes, but not in the way that cinema likes to portray them. Scientists or researchers would probably say that dreams are nothing more than a byproduct of brain activity, spiritualists may believe they're psychic or precognitive, and religious or nondenominational believers would possibly believe they're prophetic or demonic. I could go into other belief systems, but I'll just keep things simple. Regardless, dreams are a phenomenon that can be explained yet unexplainable, real but unreal. Whether you're chasing a dream to obtain success or waiting on a manifestation you've been working towards that you thought would come true by now, I feel like it's up to you to either hold on or let go of the dream as the realities of life take place in the tangible world.
Personally, I feel like the Divine works in mysterious ways, and I've experienced good dreams and nightmares manifest into my reality, but I've also experienced a small percentage of dreams that have no correlation to my personal life being observed in the tangible world(hopefully that makes sense). Either way, I think it's interesting how both spirituality and reality can converge into one reality, with the understanding that it's important to be rooted in reality depending on the context of the dream. To imagine and visualize a dream can be the start of something beautiful, but to take action to ensure it comes to fruition is what makes it real. Almost like the saying: as above, so below. Plus, sometimes we can be the ones standing in our own way.
Do dreams come true? Fortunately and unfortunately, no. But then again, sometimes good dreams do come true. But it's up to you to determine when, where, and/or how far you go to stop, manifest, or redirect your dream(s).
Either way, never stop dreaming.
